Pollination
~30%
of all the food we eat are dependent on bees for pollination. Which means, without bees, a flower will never become a fruit or a vegetable or a nut!
5% to 400% &
above increase in yield observed for crops requiring cross-pollination if bees are kept in farms. We are not claiming this, science is.
Enhances
fruit size & quality in crops which aren't completely dependent on bees for pollination.
+1.5°C
Global warming is real, affecting the crop patterns and consequently affecting the bee habitats !
We are on a mission to make sustainable beekeeping accessible to farmers.
Bee
"Good home to live in through all seasons and a pesticide free environment to forage"
Beekeeper
"Good quality equipment to work with and reliable beekeeping knowledge"
Farmer
"Beehives for pollination that are durable and trained beekeeper to take care of the bees"
Consumer
"Pesticide free food for my family"
We asked all our partners what they need & this is what they've said
We heard all of them and put together a mission

EQUIP
PolliHab®
At Madhukosha, we believe that bee hives are not just a place to live for the bees, but they also serve as an interface for humans to interact with bees.
A good bee hive is vital for building a lasting harmonious relationship between bees and humans.
We are currently testing a beehive for our native bee species Apis Cerana. We are committed to deliver a user friendly beekeeping experience for both bees & their keepers.
Our hives are called PolliHab® (s) - short for Pollinator Habitat !
EDUCATE
Bee Friendly Farm™ School
It is not enough to just understand what happens inside a beehive. Successful beekeeping also requires a sound understanding of the environment where the bees are kept.
Bee Friendly Farm™ School, shall offer a bundle of courses designed to impart bee keeping & natural farming skills to all the stakeholders of agriculture to help leverage the power of bees.
The curriculum shall include bee studies, plant care & soil care that would help create a bee friendly eco space.
This course would be gamified to challenge participants through various levels in order to become a certified Bee Friendly Farmer™ (BFF).
ENGAGE
PolliCare™
Beekeeping has a steep learning curve. We understand that not everyone is determined to learn the skill. Fear of getting stung could be one reason or it could just not be a priority.
This should not hinder a farmer to keep bees in the farm.So we are working on creating a service called PolliCare™, through which a BFF certified beekeeper manages the beehives for the farmer.
Beekeepers will also be trained in other natural farming techniques making them invaluable agents of change.
